Prof. Zila Zuckerman
Specialization: Prof. Zuckerman is the coordinator of the Integrative Course in Hemato-Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
Education: Having received her MD from the Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Prof. Zuckerman completed fellowships in Internal Medicine at the Carmel Medical Center, and in Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Southern California, USA.
Research and Academic Activities: Research and Academic Activities: Prof. Zuckerman has done extensive research on the correlation between the hepatitis C virus and the development of lymphoma; complications of bone marrow transplantation, including Veno-Occlusive Disease (VOD) and infections; and minimal residual disease in leukemia patients.
Social Activity: Prof. Zuckerman has co-authored around 20 scientific articles that were published in leading international hematology journals. She is also an acclaimed presenter at highly-respected national and international meetings.
